Haley + Blake

Wow...is it possible to be in wedding OVERLOAD??!!  Yes, I am definitely in that mode right now - I have done flowers every weekend in the month of May!  It's been lots of fun, and lots of work! :)  Last weekend, I worked with my good friend Gina to help create the floral designs and decor for an extra special wedding.  The palette was the softest, most romantic colors - ivory and blush.  It was a beautiful backyard ceremony, and the reception was held at Baker's on Main (where my mom's shop is!)...oh, and the bride just happened to be the daughter of the "Baker" :)

Alright, on with the show...

Front door baby's breath monogram wreaths...
"Our Love Story" chalk timeline (at the Bride's Book table)...
Bridesmaid's bouquets - they were stunning...
Bride's bouquet - so feminine and antique looking...
Chalkboard at guest "entrance"...
This was a prayer table used during the ceremony.  The bride and groom are both in seminary and have a heart for missions, and the Bible was a missionary from Africa's personal Bible.  Very sentimental part of the ceremony!
The bride and groom were married under the arbor.  As you can see, the chairs completely encircled the arbor - just beautiful!
 The cake - simply perfect...
 Perfection!
The main centerpiece - we used an old iron garden planter with fresh cuts flowers, maiden hair fern, and curly willow.  LOVE this look...
 Gift table arrangement...
All the guest tables had arrangements in silver tea pots that belonged to the bride's mother.  It was such an elegant, shabby chic look with the burlap cloths.
 It was a GORGEOUS reception!!
It was such a pleasure to be a part of this wedding...congratulations, Haley and Blake!

Emily + James Paul

Last weekend, I had a FABULOUS time doing a super special wedding for some of my most favorite people - my cousin James Paul and his bride, Emily.  Aren't they just the cutest couple?!
Emily is probably the sweetest person I have ever met in my life, and like my uncle said the night of rehearsal "Emily has been part of our family for a long time, the marriage just makes it official"...and, I couldn't have said it better!
Emily gave me the color scheme - yellow, lime, and white - and gave me the freedom to design the florals.  She and James Paul are very laid back people, with a love for the "Old South" so I wanted the style of the wedding to reflect that.
Her bouquet was ivory, with full bloom peonies, hydrangea, ranunculas, freesia, and lisianthis.
The bridesmaids carried similar flowers, but with added pops of yellow Billy Balls, and green hydrangeas and berries.  These were some of my most favorite bouquets ever!
The bridesmaids wore navy dresses, and the flower colors were such a beautiful contrast!
 The ceremony flowers...

 The reception flowers...

And, since it was a family wedding, I actually attended the wedding :)  Val and I!
Have you ever seen a cuter little red headed boy?!  I love my Sammy!!
Carolyne has grown up around flowers, and has gotten spoiled to getting a bouquet most anytime that I do a wedding.  In true Carolyne fashion, she insisted she MUST have a bouquet before she left the wedding...and, as you can see, Aunt Hayley provided just that :)
Miss Jenna Beth, always the social butterfly!
It was such a happy day, and we are so very thankful to God for this unity!  Welcome to the Bailey family, Emily!
Congratulations, James Paul and Emily!

Lauren + Phillip

A few weeks ago, I designed some floral arrangements for Lauren and Phillip.  The only requirement - there be lots and lots of blue accents to honor Phillip as a police officer.  We used black columns and candelabras to make the blues and whites pop, and it turned out to be such a beautiful wedding!

The bridesmaids carried all white bouquets with hydrangeas and roses, with just small touches of pittusporom to finish it off.
So classy and elegant!
Lauren's bouquet was the same white roses, but with blue hydrangeas.
It was a special wedding - not only uniting a sweet couple, but honoring our service men too!!
 Congratulations, Lauren and Phillip!!

The Lost Month

When I went back and looked at all the pictures of the last time I posted, I realized a WHOLE LOT of life has went by!!  Since a picture says a thousand words, I thought I would post our month in pictures and not bore you with a whole lot of yacking (I know you all are breathing a sigh of relief!)...

1.  Brad and I went to watch Carolyne at her 1st Theatre Review in "Jack and the Bean Stalk" (she's truly our little Drama Queen)...

2.  Val and I enjoyed an afternoon at the park with 3 of my favorites...

Miss Jenna Beth :)

Sammers...
and, sweet Carolyne...

3.  Valerie got this very unusual package in the mail.  Luckily, I was there to capture said questionable package in pictures, because we were most definitely NOT expecting what was in the box...
Valerie opened the shipping box to see yet another box with this label on top:
And, TWO of these little guys inside!!!!!
Val and Rob had some friends from Maine to come visit the week prior, and they sent them LIVE LOBSTERS as a "thanks for having us" gift!!!!  I know the picture is blurry, but the look on Valerie's face says it all!!!
I haven't laughed in a L-O-N-G time as much as we did that afternoon!!!  If you have never wrestled a live lobster into the crisper of your refrigerator...well, let's just say it's some good, hysterically funny entertainment.

4.  Brad got to enjoy some turkey hunting, and killed his first turkey!  Way to go!!
 5.  Brad and I celebrated 9 years of wedded bliss in the month of April!  My precious husband sent me the same flowers that I carried the day of our wedding - orange roses and hypericum berries!  An occupational hazard of usually being the one to do flowers for others, is that I RARELY ever get flowers sent to me.  This was an extra special surprise, and so sweet and thoughtful!  I love you, Bradley!

 6.  Happy Easter!!  We hunted and found eggs all day long...such a perfectly family-filled fun day!
 7.  Spring weddings have been in full swing, and I enjoyed being apart of this April wedding!  Blue and white were the colors of choice, with the blue honoring the groom as a police officer.  Congrats Lauren and Phillip!!  (I am going to do a whole other post on the wedding, so there will be some more pics coming!)
  8.  I don't have a picture for this, but my most EXCITING thing to share is that exactly 4 months ago today I made the decision to make my health a top priority...and, I am beyond ecstatic to report I have lost 65 pounds in the last 4 months!!!!   I still have a long way to go, but I have never been more proud of myself than I am right now.  Sorry for tooting my own horn for a minute, but I just had to share!!

Other than that, besides work, the rest of every single minute of my days have been filled with graduate school :-/  NOT FUN.  But, PRAISE THE LORD, the semester is over...and, I'm not even thinking about the one that will be starting in less than 2 weeks!

It's good to be back!
