Your Hands

Do you ever listen to a song that you've been singing along to for forever and it finally hit you what the words or message are?? I did that today with this song - "Your Hands" by JJ Heller.

JJ's music was cast into the spotlight in September of 2009 when dancer, Diana Drexler, danced to "Your Hands" on the Fox TV show "So You Think You Can Dance." This song is amazing. I am deeply and madly in love with it.

"For I am the LORD, your God,
who takes hold of your right hand
and says to you, Do not fear;
I will help you."

Isaiah 41:13

Praise Jesus that when my world is shaking, and my heart is completely broken - I never leave His hands.

I have unanswered prayers
I have trouble I wish wasn't there
And I have asked a thousand ways
That You would take my pain away
That You would take my pain away

I am trying to understand
How to walk this weary land
Make straight the paths that crookedly lie
Oh Lord, before these feet of mine
Oh Lord, before these feet of mine

When my world is shaking
Heaven stands
When my heart is breaking
I never leave Your hands

When You walked upon the Earth
You healed the broken, lost, and hurt
I know You hate to see me cry
One day You will set all things right
Yea, one day You will set all things right

When my world is shaking
Heaven stands
When my heart is breaking
I never leave Your hands

Your hands
Your hands that shape the world
Are holding me, they hold me still
Your hands that shape the world
Are holding me, they hold me still

When my world is shaking
Heaven stands
When my heart is breaking
I never leave You when...

When my world is shaking
Heaven stands
When my heart is breaking
I never leave...
I never leave Your hands

The Word

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John 1:1

This is an old song, but a great one!!

Thank you Father, that your Word is the same yesterday, today, and forever!

I've done every devotional
Been every place emotional
Trying to hear a new word from God
And I think it's very odd
That while I attmept to help myself
My Bible sits upon my shelf
With every promise I could ever need

And the Word was
And the Word is
And the Word will be

And the Word was
And the Word is
And the Word will be

People are getting fit for truth
Like they're buying a new tailored suit
Does it fit across the shoulders
Does it fade when it get older
We throw ideas that aren't in style
In the Salvation Army pile
And search for something more to meet our needs

And the Word was
And the Word is
And the Word will be

And the Word was
And the Word is
And the Word will be

And the Word was
And the Word is
And the Word will be

I think it's time I rediscover
All the ground that I have covered,
Like "seek ye first" what a verse!
"We are pressed but not crushed
Perplexed but don't despair
We are persecuted but not abandoned"
"We are no longer slaves
We are daughters and sons
And when we are weak we are very strong"
"And neither death nor life nor present
Nor future nor depth nor height
Can keep us from the love of Christ"
And the Word I need is the Word that was
Who put on flesh to dwell with us
In the beginning

And the Word was
And the Word is
And the Word will be

And the Word was
And the Word is
And the Word will be

And the Word was
And the Word is
And the Word will be

Mighty to Save

In the words of Louie Giglio from this past summer, "Mighty to Save" is one of the most powerful songs written in this generation.

And, I think he hit the nail on the head.

Listen and read the lyrics below. Be blessed. Be touched. And, worship our MIGHTY GOD!

Everyone needs compassion,
Love that's never failing;
Let mercy fall on me.

Everyone needs forgiveness,
The kindness of a Saviour;
The Hope of nations.

Saviour, He can move the mountains,
My God is Mighty to save,
He is Mighty to save.

Forever, Author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave.

So take me as You find me,
All my fears and failures,
Fill my life again.

I give my life to follow
Everything I believe in,
Now I surrender.

My Saviour, He can move the mountains,
My God is Mighty to save,
He is Mighty to save.
Forever, Author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave.

Shine your light and let the whole world see,
We're singing for the glory of the risen King...Jesus (x2)

My Saviour, He can move the mountains,
My God is Mighty to save,
He is Mighty to save.
Forever, Author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave.

My Saviour, you can move the mountains,
You are mighty to save,
You are mighty to save.
Forever, Author of Salvation,
You rose and conquered the grave,
Yes you conquered the grave

Loudly, I Live

I have become deeply and madly in LOVE with this song. When it comes on the radio, I feel sure you can hear it playing outside of my car because I have the volume up SO LOUD!

It's most definitely one of my most favorite random joys lately!

This song's name is "Alive", but oh how I wish they had named it after the phrase in the chorus - "Loudly, I Live" - because I just ADORE how profound that statement is of how we should live our lives for Christ...but, they didn't ask me.

hmmm, maybe next time.

Anyway, PLEASE take the time to listen and read the lyrics - I'll just bet you'll be blessed, encouraged, and you might find yourself doing a little dancing (GASP)!

Oh Father, how I pray that I am living LOUDLY - sharing YOUR Love that's made me so ALIVE."

"Alive" by Pocket Full of Rocks

There was a time I was dead inside.
You'd call my name and I'd try to hide.
My heart was dark and so full of shame,
Full of shame.
But like the dawning of a brand new day
Your love has chased my shame away.
How amazing, now to hear You singing over me!
Over me!

Loudly, I sing
Loudly, I live
Giving You all I have to give,
Until the world knows the Love that's made me so alive
I'm alive, I'm alive!

Well, every day I find Your mercy new.
And every moment that I spend with You
I am overwhelmed by Grace I can't keep to myself!
To myself!

Loudly, I sing
Loudly, I live
Giving You all I have to give,
Until the world knows the Love that's made me so alive
I'm alive, I'm alive!

Loudly, I sing
Loudly, I live
Giving You all I have to give,
Until the world knows the Love that's made me so alive
I'm alive, I'm alive!

Out of my sorrow, out of my night,
You called me into Glorious Light.
Where all of the lost, lonely and broken
Find Your Light.
Shine Your Light.

Loudly, I sing
Loudly, I live
Giving You all I have to give,
Until the world knows the Love that's made me so alive
I'm alive

Loudly, I sing
Loudly, I live
Giving You all I have to give,
Until the world knows the Love that's made me so alive
I'm alive, I'm alive! Yeah,
I'm alive, I'm alive, yeah!

Do You Hear What I Hear?

I L-O-V-E Christmas music. I came across this song, "Joseph's Lullaby" by Mercy Me and INSTANTLY fell in love with it. It's written from a unique perspective of Joseph with the new born baby Jesus in his arms.

You need to listen!!

Desert Song

Whatever road you are walking, every single person has felt as if they've "walked in the desert".

"I know that my circumstances and this season of life doesn't change that God is still God. It doesn't change what He has called me to be, or what he's called me to do. He is still on His throne, He still rules, and He is bigger than everything I'm facing." - Jill McCloghry, Hillsong lead singer

You MUST listen to this. Incredible, powerful testimony and song...
