One of my most favorite things about the season is gingerbread. I do a unit at school on gingerbread, and the children always have the most fun reading about the Gingerbread Man..."Run, run as fast as you can! You can't catch me - I'm the Gingerbread man!" So, when Kailey mentioned she wanted to "make crafts", I thought a gingerbread house was a perfect holiday project. I had to remind the girls a couple times though not to eat the icing and candy off the house - but, yes of course I put some icing in a bowl for them to eat. I'm the aunt - I can do things like that :)
